WHAT IS IT?
Designed for an urban development project commissioned by the city, ‘Escale Numerique’.
JCDecaux, a North American company that has invented a concept of outdoor advertising has invented: ‘street furniture’. Collaborated with designer Mathieu Lehanneur, they create a cool green rest stop for pedestrians in Paris. The garden platform makes for people a natural view from their upper floor apartments, held aloft by tree trunks.
WHY IT IS COOL?
Navigating the unfamiliar streets of a new city. Urban Nomads needs a quiet place. A public shaded resting spot. Escale Numérique has a large touch screen that provides information about city service like guides and new. Also provides everyone form high-speed Wi-Fi. These new urban developments have future growth potential because, meeting places in the middle of the cities are ideal for Urban Nomads. They come in contact with people. At ‘Escale Numerique’ they come in contact on a chair. This is a swiveling chair, equipped with little desk and even electrical outlets to charge up your computer and phone on the go.
